Largest Frog

Well, you always know that frogs are little amphibians as big as kid's palm (and bigger, of course). But this one's different!

Yup, its Conraua Goliath, or known as Goliath Frog! The largest type if frog ever exist. Its length can be about 13" (33 cm) and weight up to 8 lb (3 kg), can live up to 15 years.

Its habitat is on fast-flowing rivers with sandy bottoms in the West African countries of Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. They feed on mainly large crabs, small insects and also smaller frogs.

Another interesting fact about this frog is that, it can jump up to 10 feet (3 m) in a single bound!

Goliath frogs are being abused nowadays, exported to the animal dealers, put in the zoos, captured as pets, and now, they're in the list of the endangered animals. And fyi, most of them can't reproduce if not in their real habitat. They're also the source of food in some parts of West Africa.

That's all for now, and yeah, from this blog, I kindly request you all not to keep Goliath Frogs as pets, for their own good. Get some other instead. Conserve them. And thanks for reading :)
